An Italian legend with 15thCentury Venetian charm and undeniable 19th Century luxury. This aim of this design was to restore the historic building to absolute prestige. The £36.5m renovation job allows guests to experience Victorian Venice, at the peak of its opulence. Each piece of furniture inside the hotel is vintage and has been restored to its original state. Every crystal piece hanging from the chandeliers was removed, cleaned, and repaired. This was a lofty feat for an 82 room hotel.

Like many of Michael Smith’s, Shutters on the beach uses a Cape Cod backdrop of whites and creams with blue accents while the sunset filters through the oversized windows. Over windows let in the ocean breeze. Each room is a mini-beach house awaiting marvel.
